I recently facilitated a workshop on designing dollhouses at The Edge. The content included 3D modelling with Tinkercad and using Illustrator to make house parts and furniture for fabrication on the 3D printers and laser cutter.
We didn't get all of the pieces cut during the workshop, so I cut the remaining parts afterwards at Hack the Evening. Here's a video about it:
